
Athletic Weight Training
A weight lifting program designed for anyone at any age that wants to lose body fat, get strong and build an athletic, lean body. This is a 4-week program that consists of weight lifting 4 days a week (M-T-TH-F) working different muscle groups; one week low reps 70-85 % of your max then next week high reps 40-50% of your max.
Every 4 weeks the program is changed.

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)
Each 60-minute class is action-packed. We work at a fast pace using a round system. Workouts consist of cardio boxing, Olympic lifts, kettle bells, sleds, wall balls, ball slams, dumbbells, ropes, flipping tires, push-ups, pull-ups, box jumps, machines, and other innovative training! This is a great class for members to learn the proper movements, techniques, and forms necessary to gain muscle and strength. We work out as a team, as a unit. Get ready to be challenged as you’ve never been before, but also more fit than you’ve ever been.

O-C-R Spartan Training
Obstacle course races are a fun way to challenge your mental and physical limits, compete with others, get into crazy shape and get a little dirty.
But how do you train for one of these races if you don’t have a ten-foot wall to climb or a bunch of pipes to crawl through?
Don’t worry 290 Fitness has you covered! Starting with Coach Rosie, A Spartan Trifecta athlete, who placed in the 2018 Spartan Trifecta World Championship in Greece.
Coach Rosie’s class is broken up into Endurance, Stamina, Strength and obstacle training. 290 Fitness has one of the largest Trifecta teams in Houston from beginners to top athletes. We have many of the obstacles so you will have no surprises on race day. So if want to be ready for your OCR race then 290 Fitness OCR training is for you!! $10 drop in fee for Non-Members.
